Stevi Quate

Stevi Quate Stevi Quate realized her dream of teaching for over three decades. “I learned quickly that motivation and engagement mattered for all students.” Later, as the state’s literacy consultant for Colorado Department of Education, “. . . it again became clear that we needed to think hard about motivation and engagement, particularly in this era of CSAP. Few students will strive to meet the high standards unless they are engaged in their learning.” Stevi has held administrative positions with Colorado Writing Project and Colorado Critical Friends, Colorado Language Arts Society and Colorado Council of International Reading Association, National Board of Professional Teaching Standards, and Colorado Reading Journal. She is a site professor with the University of Colorado at Denver and was a senior instructor in the School of Education for seven years.
